Crisis & community resources

Immediate support when safety cannot wait.

Denver Mental Health Collective is not a crisis service. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, please use emergency or crisis resources right away instead of waiting for a therapy appointment or email response.

If this is urgent

  • Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room if there is immediate danger.
  • Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
  • Contact Colorado Crisis Services at 1-844-493-8255 or text TALK to 38255.
  • Stay near a trusted person while arranging help, if you can do so safely.
Crisis support

Use the fastest safe route to help.

If you are in crisis, the most important thing is immediate support. Therapy can be an important part of ongoing care, but crisis lines, emergency services, and local crisis teams are better equipped for urgent safety concerns.

After the immediate crisis

Once immediate safety is addressed, therapy can help you process what happened, create a support plan, and build tools for the weeks ahead.

For ongoing care

When the immediate danger has passed, support can continue.

If you are safe now and looking for ongoing therapy, Denver Mental Health Collective can help you explore individual, family, group, teen, or telehealth support.
