What does it mean that Denver Mental Health Collective is a collective?
It means we are a group of therapists with a range of specialties, backgrounds, and clinical approaches. This allows us to match clients with care that is more specific to their needs, whether they are seeking individual therapy, couples counseling, family support, group therapy, trauma-informed care, or another form of support.
How do I know if you have the right therapist for me?
Finding the right fit is important. During the consultation or intake process, we listen to what is bringing you in, what kind of support you want, and any preferences that may matter to you. From there, we help connect you with a therapist whose training and style align with your goals.
What can I expect from my first session?
Your first session is usually an intake appointment. Your therapist will ask about your history, current concerns, goals, and what you hope will feel different through therapy. It is also a time for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether the fit feels right.
Do you offer in-person and online therapy?
Yes. Denver Mental Health Collective offers in-person therapy at our Denver office and telehealth sessions for clients located in Colorado. The best option depends on your needs, schedule, therapist availability, and clinical fit.
Do you accept insurance?
Denver Mental Health Collective is in-network with many major insurance providers, including several Medicaid plans. Insurance coverage varies by plan and service type, so please review our Rates & Insurance page or reach out with your insurance details so benefits can be checked.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. Our therapists do not prescribe medication. If medication support is needed, your therapist may be able to help you think through referral options for a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or other appropriate medical provider.
Is what I share in therapy confidential?
Therapy is confidential, with specific legal and safety exceptions. Your therapist will review confidentiality, privacy, and office policies with you during the intake process so you understand how your information is protected and when information may need to be shared for safety or legal reasons.
How long is a therapy session?
Standard therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes. The overall length of therapy depends on your goals, symptoms, life circumstances, and the type of work you and your therapist decide to do together.
What if Denver Mental Health Collective is not the right fit?
If we are not the best fit for your needs, we will be honest about that and can help you think through other referral options. The goal is to help you find care that is appropriate, safe, and clinically aligned.
If you have a question about therapy, scheduling, insurance, telehealth, or therapist fit, reach out and our team will help you find the clearest next step.
